i’m glad that i woke up this morning without a headache

i’m glad that i can always find people who are truly weirder than me at work

i’m glad i bought my allstar-alike shoes from NoSweat, a sweatshop free company

i’m glad to have seen the city of Hartford for the last time in a year

i’m glad that i gave my heart freely for the last few months

i’m glad that i woke up this morning instead of dyeing from asthma because my mom would be really hurt by it

i’m glad that my passport came back, and that i can leave

i’m glad that i am meeting people that want to get to know me, not just go “have fun”

i’m glad that i have anemia, and that i am not just become a lazy son-of-a-bitch in my old age

i’m glad that i never give up on what i really want

i’m glad that i have chosen to do my MFA instead of Library Science since that is what i really want out of life

i’m glad to have a family around me who want to show me the light, not throw it in my face

i’m glad to have a girlfriend who is just crazy enough to be with me
